Dandara - Court Lane Nurseries, Hadlow 

BNG Partnership worked with Dandara on their Court Lane Nurseries development in Hadlow, Kent, providing a targeted offsite BNG solution following a successful appeal process. Now known as 'The Heathers', this 57-home scheme will offer a mix of high-quality open-plan homes, with half delivered as affordable housing. Alongside the new homes, a purpose-built children’s nursery will be constructed, creating a welcoming community hub and helping to meet local demand for childcare places.

The site required 1.22 units of traditional orchard habitat, which proved difficult to source elsewhere. Through BNG Partnership’s Ote Hall Habitat Bank, Dandara was able to secure the necessary units and discharge their planning condition - enabling them to proceed with home sales and site delivery. 

The collaboration included close communication with Kent County Council ecologists, ensuring that all queries around offsetting, habitat management, and long-term delivery were fully addressed. The project marked the first of two expected collaborations with Dandara across this year and next.
